Christopher (C.J.) Stock Jr.

Secretary

C.J. is a Michigan native who attended U of M between 2010 and 2014 during which time he was immersed in rugby as both a player (wing and fullback) and club officer (social chair and vice president). The team made major progress during his playing years, hiring Coach Trenary and achieving significant on-pitch success his senior year by winning the Big 10 XV’s and placing 8th in the nationwide Collegiate Rugby Championship. C.J. had the honor of playing alongside many UMRFC greats, including Sequoyah Burke-Combs, Cole VanHarn, Joel Conzelmann, and Christian Mentzer. The dedication of his teammates remains a source of inspiration for C.J. to this day.

C.J. served as an intern for USA Rugby in Boulder, Colorado in 2013, working in the Collegiate Department under Rich Cortez. After graduating undergrad, C.J. coached UMRFC’s C-side for the fall season and then returned to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Colorado. He continued to play rugby with the Colorado Buffaloes during the academic year and the Grand Rapids Gazelles in the summers.

Aside from serving as Michigan Rugby Foundation secretary, C.J. works in civil litigation with a primary focus on construction law and contracts. He also enjoys cycling, alpine skiing, and hanging with the boys.
